| Training
and Peformance Development
Introduction
One of the greatest opportunities for business development
in organisations today is the development of its people.
The best organisations in the world understand that the development
of the organisations human capital is equally, if not more
important than the management of its physical assets and infrastructure.
Our training
programs – philosophy and structure
In our experience, a great deal of time and money is often
wasted on development programs that don t work.
We know that the only effective behavioural change occurs
over time, with good on-the-job coaching and support. We work
hard to create clarity of role and purpose, to define and
impart skills through practical and memorable systems, and
to ensure a lasting legacy continues to achieve results long
after we have left.
Our programs are driven wherever possible through your own
team leaders and management, using spaced repetition, coaching,
and as much internal expertise as possible, to ensure seamlessness
and cultural integrity.
Our programs are built around
the following four fundamental pillars:
1. Spaced Learning:
It has been proven for adult learners that spaced repetition
is the key to absorbing information, translating it to conscious
knowledge and implementing behavioural change.
2. On the Job Learning:
Research studies have demonstrated that people believe they
learn best on the job, rather than in an artificial classroom
environment.
3. Peer Group Learning:
There is also a preference for learning from peer group
‘champions , to ensure the knowledge is proven and
relevant.
4. Management Involvement:
The most important of all where management is seen not only
to support the program, but to actually own it by their
committed attendance, and their ability to facilitate, coach
and de-brief on the content. Only then can knowledge and
behaviours become part of the organisational culture.

Our implementation approach
The following is a guide to the adoption of the BEST training
in your organisation:
1. We will work with you to identify the behaviours and
goals that will enable the organisation to achieve significant
business improvement
2. Quantify these goals, including key staff in the process,
seeking their views and observations on what needs to change
and opportunities for improvement
3. Undertake a Diagnostic Evaluation of the current reality
within the organisation, seeking to uncover other issues,
problems and challenges hidden beneath the surface
4. Select an appropriate BEST training program refer to
the relevant program outline
5. Schedule workshop and manager facilitation training
dates ( note: a feature of our programs is the training
of managers in a half day/full day workshop to provide them
with the tools to regularly follow up with staff on the
important issues a key aspect of implementing sustainable
behavioural change )
6. Customise workbooks and materials
7. Deliver Workshops and manager facilitation training
8. Measure outcomes/follow up.
Important implementation
issues to consider
Effective communication to stakeholders within the organisation
before, during and after the training programs is an essential
ingredient for management to address.
People need to now what is going on the benefits of the training
should be outlined to all participants.
How training fits into the broader activities of the organisation
should also be communicated to ensure that it is seen as being
an integrated activity within the overall business operation.
Our
goal is simple…helping you reach yours!
